Well, today is my 1 yr. Atkins Anniversary!
I would like to start out by thanking Tom, all the moderators, the supporting members, members as well as visitors for all the support and encouragement I have received this past year. Your post replies, numerous pm's and emails have been greatly appreciated...I have enjoyed and valued each and every one of them!
It has been an amazing year. Looking back at everything I feel incredibly blessed and very grateful. I have met a number of amazing individuals on this board and have made some very special friendships, thank you for taking the time to accompany me on my weight loss journey. It has been most memorable and I am truly grateful to all of you.
Just to share a break down of how my weight loss took place, I have copied a paragraph I wrote on my other thread and pasted it below in blue. It explains the breakdowns of my weight loss this past year and a few months.
Starting Atkins a year ago (July 19-08 ), I weighed 347 lbs.....I weighed myself today, July 19-09 and I weigh 184 lbs. So in one years time on Atkins alone I have lost a total of 163 lbs. Adding the 56 lbs I lost in the months leading up to starting Atkins July 19-08, I have lost a grand total of 219 lbs. in a year and a few months.
This way of eating works if one really commits to making it their way of life. It's not meant to be a quick fix or something you can choose to go on or off of when the weekend hits or when a special occasion rolls around or a family dinner or outing, it is a way of eating that we are to stick to and incorporate into our life properly each and everyday.
Along with eating properly, drinking the proper amounts of water each day as well as exercising regularly.....these three aspects all go hand in hand....oh, and don't forget the vitamins! You can't do one without the other....you can try but you will notice the results won't be the same, nor your energy levels if you don't incorporate all of them together each day .
I look forward to going through this next year with all of you, I know it too will be amazing and will bring much more learning and wonderful friendships.
Thank you again and keep up the great work in reaching your ultimate health goal! Believe in yourself, you're worth it....you deserve to be healthy and happy.
All the best to each and every one of you!
