  • Its all in the mind

Hi everyone I pour through your stories and pictures daily - and I just really want to say thankyou. Today I was reading more, and I felt kind of guilty - because I was like 'If I can read their stories, and get encouragement then I should surely post mine!" I have been on Atkins for about 3 and a half weeks. Truthfully, I don't remember my start date. Although, I do know it is between 3 and 3 1/2 weeks. I did Induction and am now in extended inductions and I have lost a total of 20 pounds and 7 inches off my waist. I have tried all sorts of diets in the past - and yea, everything works - but I stop. This time is different though, and I whole heartedly believe that when YOU are READY - mentally - then you will do it. I drink at least 160 oz. of water a day and I work out at least 30 minutes 4-5 times a week. I had the 'flu' for one day, but to be honest it wasn't that bad.. it just felt like I was hung over lol..
This summer was horrible, I have always hated summer. I have always hated any season that doesn't involve long sleeves, hooded sweatshirt and at least 2 layers of clothing. I am sick of that.
So, to all the newbies out there - keep it up.. and don't look back! We can do it.. Its all 'mental' ...

    hugs to all - Jen

I agree 100%!! I know for myself if I'm mentally having a bad day... eating is a bad day until I have learned to change that habit of comforting my mental. Each day does get easier b/c you are creating/learning new habits. Best of Luck and welcome.

It is okay if it takes me a little longer to get there, besides this is where I'm going to stay forever and that is a really long time!!!
