Re: Don't know what stage I'm on?

You don't have much weight left to loose so you should move up to Owl and start adding back food. Rung 1 is 5 net carbs of vegetables -- eat them 3 times the first week, if you don't have any trouble eating it then add another new veggie or move on to the next rung. Here is the link to the OWL thread: Ongoing Weight Loss (OWL) - Atkins Diet

If you won't be using foods in a particular rung (ie: alcohol, dairy if you are lactose intollerent, etc) you can skip that rung, but try to follow them the way they are written - don't from from induction to Rung 9 --- that's too much for your body to handle at one time.

Your food looks pretty good...you say you are still hungry for a snack - if you have carbs left and can fit one in, by all means, during induction you should eat until you feel full (not stuffed, just full). What I always do is when I think I'm full I drink another glass of water and wait about 20 minutes to a half hour -- if I'm still hungry I eat -- most times when you think you are hungry your body is actually needing water.

    Good luck on OWL!

Yes, eat if you are truly hungry.

There is a lot of cheese in your menu. We are limited to 3-4oz of cheese per day.

Atkins bars and aspertame stall people - skip the jello & bars. When you add food back in OWL, it will be nutritious, whole foods, not bars & sweets...You need to avoid sweets altogether (including splenda & pop) to get over your addiction to sweets.

Move on to OWL - extended induction is for the very metabolically resistant or those who have a lot to lose.

I think if you are eating only 3 cups of veggies you are on induction but if you add more veggies you are starting to move up. You are sort of in between. Don't be in between move up and be consistent. Really work in those extra five carbs of veggies (choose more nutrious veggies perhaps - pepper, broccoli, jicama, cauliflower, pumpkin)

Also spread your veggies out. Always spread things out on Atkins. You try to balance the protein carb and fat out. So a bit of veggies with all your meals would be good.

There is two much cheese in your menu. Eat more meat instead. There is a limit of 3-4 not everyone can actually eat that much cheese. Do not eat pre grated cheese as it contains starches.

Drink all your water always. The more you drink, the more you shrink (it is my motto this week) Dont drink any sugared drinks if you have not finished your water quota. Make that a hard rule.

Good work on that exercise. You will be losing inches and toning up nicely.
