My name is James and I'm about 280 lbs. I'm on my day and a half of the Atkins 14-day induction. I'm enjoying the rich food and generally I feel like I'm in good health. I've yet to experience the "induction flu" and have been taking supplements to try and avoid this.
My question is this, though - is it normal to start experiencing sugar/carb withdrawals so soon? For instance, last night before bed I had a very strong craving for rice or something sweet.
Today it isn't terribly bad. I still have a flash craving every now and then but nothing terrible. I know that in order to stave the cravings I should eat a piece of bacon or something.

I've been on for a few months, and no longer crave very often (I do ocasionally get a hankerin' for ice cream, but nothing I can't handle).
