  • Throat lozenges

I have a heinously sore throat and am looking for recommendations for good (induction friendly) lozenges that will numb this beast. I a bought Cepacol last night and thought I grabbed the sugar free pack but realized my epic fail this afternoon. So much for induction I guess.

Anyways, suggestions for fending this thing off? I work in a lab so I can't sip tea all day long.

I hope this throat is not indicative of the bacon shakes!

I'm sorry no one has responded to your post. I know that honestly no lozenges are going to be induction legal...but I'd stick with sugar free and ditch them as soon as you can.

Walgreens! They have a wide selection of sugar free remedies. Check every label and pick the least induction offensive remedy you can find if you must use something. I've had to do it in the past...and quite frankly, should've done it sooner. I wound up very sick inadvertently choosing ketosis over my health. It really just depends on how sick you are and if you're willing to slow down your losing process for some relief.

I don't see why a sugar free lozenge wouldn't be Induction friendly.

And there are sugar free cough syrups, too, should you need that.

One thing I like for a sore throat is "Throat Coat" tea.

The honest truth is unless it is made from ONLY the items allowed on Induction then it isn't an Induction item, therefore, it is not Induction Friendly. Saying that you can have a sugar-free cough drop just because it is sugar-free is just like saying I can have a sugar-free pudding just because it is sugar-free. Not so, if it is not specifically listed on the allowable items list then it is not Induction friendly.

So ... you think a sick person should just struggle through without any relief? Even though you stated previously that you would "stick with sugar free"?

I presume then, that you wouldn't allow any other herbs other than the ones mentioned at the end of the Foods list?

What about the flu shot? That's not on the list of Acceptable Foods?

I don't think that comparing a sugar-free lozenge to sugar free pudding is the same thing. The comparison isn't between two similar items.
