  • Percentages shifting

I know in induction the percentages should be about 65% fat, 30% protein, and 5% carb. I know as you progress through OWLS, the protein stays the same, but carbs go up and fat goes down.

Obviously it depends on the person's carb limit for themself, but what do you think the average percentages look like in maintanance? Protein should still be about 30% and fat will be higher than the typical recommended "diets", but what do you think?

    Re: Percentages shifting

I have no idea what the average percentages may look like. I have been wondering that myself. For me personally I keep my fat percentage high even in OWL. If anything my protein consumption comes down just a tad but I need my fats to keep my appetite in check. I think others prefer to do it the other way around as you are saying letting protein stay the same and lower fat. I am not sure what I will do right now because I am thinking of pushing my carbs up to the max. I'll just see what happens.
