  • For others who do home workouts: favorite workout DVDs?

I rotate Jillian Michaels' No More Trouble Zones, Jari Love's Extremely Ripped, The Firm's Get Chisel'd, & several more. What I love about these workouts is the fact that they combine weight-bearing circuit training & supersets non-stop for up to 40 minutes - so you are constantly moving & enjoy an aerobic component by default. In other words, on the days I do these DVDs, I can skip the treadmill afterward!

What workout DVDs are you all into?

This really changes a lot - I seem to get favourites and then they fad out and I find new ones

    But right now
No more trouble zones - I love it. It is hard but doable. And makes sense to me. I like to work all areas when I do strength training. Like it better than Shred - but I do shred sometimes when I have less time because it is only a 20 minute work out.

The 10 minute solution videos are good ones. I like the blast of belly fast one and do it quite often. It is hard and challenging and I feel it. And I can do it for 10 minutes or all 50 depending on what kind of time I have.
10 Minute Solution: Blast Off Belly Fat: Amazon.ca: Suzanne Bowen, Andrea Ambandos: DVD

Tae-bo for when I want to do effective cardio in the house. Have a lot of Billy Banks around. I like the intensity and the fact that you can do short ones
For those who wonder what it is like: Check this out on you tube
YouTube - 8 minute Tae Bo advanced cardio workout

My last favourite that I have done quite a few times is a yoga/pilates one that is kind of old but I like it. IT is called Crunch Super Slim Down Yoga/Pilates blend

Sheila -I'm impressed that you have maintained your loss for so long. You look fab. I am similar to you in starting weight and goal weight and also same height and frame - how long did it take you to get to your goal. I started induction about 9 days ago but haven't seem much of a difference scale or clothes being more loose.

        Hi Alice,

YES! Sheila definitely looks great. And it is that she has maintained her loss. She is a wonderful example of the Atkins Way of Life.

But understand, you and I and others can do the same thing, If we follow this as a Way of Life, not just to lose weight and slowly start getting off track little by little until we start gaining weight back.
To accept Atkins as a WOE for life is a wonderful path to a lifetime of maintained weight loss!

And Sheila has shown us that this can be done.

Thanks for the encouragement and hats off to you for your achievement so far.

I really appreciate the support and inspiration this bulletin board gives -- I'm learning so much --just have to be patient I guess.

I am doing P90X right now and I really hate it...in a good way though. It works REALLY well. The only video I don't like out of the set is the CardioX.

I rotate between Jillian Micheals No More Trouble Zones, Banish Fat Boost Metablolism, 30 Day Shred (I do a combo of 2 of the workouts since they are so short), Burn it Up from Slim in 6 (Its like level 3 and an hour long), and this is funny, Liv, I also do an Ellen Barrett workout! I got it from Fit TV, its called Pilates Sculpt, I have looked into the one you do, what do you like most about it? Is it pretty good cardio, I mean, ya know, do you feel like its comparable to any of Jillina's workouts as far as how hard you feel like you worked out? Thanks And btw Shelia you do look AWESOME!!!!!

I'm so happy you all have contributed your workouts and ideas - thank you! Believe it or not, to this day I have still never tried Tae Bo. I need to sometime. It's on my DVR for FitTV. Also, Jackie Warner has a new workout there that I need to get around to giving a go.

I use my Wii a lot now but for DVDs I still use WATPs, Zumba and Qi Gong for Weightloss. I'm in the beginner/wimp stage still. I also use a lot of the free fitness demos & videos on SparkPeople.
