I seriously doubt the carbs would be much lower - only slightly less space per kernel would be used up by a second embryo, in a mature ear of corn. If you really want low carb corn, eat baby corn!

as they said in the article they will have to see if it can be reproduced by seed planting since each kernewl will grow 2 plants as twins side by side.

they have high starch corn now that is higher in fiber and lower in net carbs. but a double protein higher oil would make interesting corn if it tasted good.
