| Oh cool. I posted in health did not see this. Sometimes this kind of news is a bit irritating because science has known this for quite a while already. Maybe one day somebody will come around and "correct" that other error in there that eating saturated fat leads to increased cholesterols.

| I was talking about this "news" with a friend this morning. We were joking that it is like the Vatican formally admitting Galileo was right... 350 years later. However, the "egg fear" is deeply rooted in the people's way of thinking about food... Germans are typically extremely pro low-fat and at the canteen you rarely see a German eating *one* boiled egg a week, let alone 3! In fact, I asked some while ago why can't we have boiled eggs available in the morning (we only have them for brunch every two weeks), and the answer was: "The canteen is trying to offer only healthy food options to the students and staff." Basically, by "healthy food options" they understand chocolate coated cereals, nutella, low-fat fruit yogurt, pancakes, canned fruits, etc.... but no eggs.
