| I am sorry you had such a hard time but just let it go and focus on all of the complements you received. If you wish to battle people tell them what you eat not just "doing atkins" Most people just dont understand. I was eating with a friend once in DQ. She had often told me all the faults of Atkins. When I ordered the grilled chicken salad. She says "that is how you should eat. You will loose weight and be health eaing that" She was quite suprised to hear I was stil on plan!

| Totally second Laurenfra. Actually, unless I know people really well, or they are truly interested in the details because we're AT a nutrition class or something, I tell them I watch my carbs, portions, but I never eat refined sugar or flour. Obviously, Atkins to the letter, but without the shocking name. GL on your journey to better health! |

| I just (re)joined the board after a couple years away. I lost 30 pounds my first time around and have kept it off but now I'm living with someone who wants to lose some weight and I would like to lose another 20-30 lbs myself so I've started it with him. Anyway, I don't usually tell people specifically that I am doing atkins but if it comes up, I tell them that Atkins has been the only plan I've ever been able to stick too and, more to the point, keeps my mood swings in check. I also tell them that I always eat the maximum amount of vegetables allowed and that is more than many people eat anyway. Mostly, they respect me enough to accept and move on.
