Default Soft foods ideas???

I had a rear molar extracted today...it hurts....and even after it heals, I'll be missing a chewing tooth until I get an implant..
any ideas on soft foods to eat? I only eat meat and veggies, I have grain allergies and am not up to fruits yet...

thanks everyone!

If you have a slow cooker, you can get your meats nice and soft. You could make yourself some soups also.

A little soften cream cheese, canned pumpkin and a packet of spenda - slightly chilled - YUM!

No slow cooker, eggs make me nauseous...
soups sound good, but I hardly ever eat soup, so I'm not sure what would be low carb and yummy?

I'm definitely going to make up some mashed cauliflower stuff...I've been meaning to try it forever!

Y'all are all so sweet, thanks so much for the help. I'm a mess in the kitchen, I usually eat a grilled meat and raw veggies for nearly every meal!

Becca, definitely go with the soup.

Clam Chowder- sautee some bacon, celer, and onion in a pan, let the onions and celery soften. You don't want the bacon too crisp though. Add a can of clams with the juice, add chicken broth and some cream. This is delicious.

You can also make a cream of vegetable and ground beef or chicken....squashes are easy to cook until they are really really soft. Add chicken and ground beef, chicken stock and cream.

You could make yourself a shepherd's pie with the mashed cauliflower and ground beef and cheese.

Posting that got me thinking that I needed something high fat/low carb for dinner, so I went and whipped up a quick cup of the clam chowder....see how fast that was??? Now I have to wait until it cools down enough to eat. Yum!

GAH!! I keep forgetting that it's okaaaayyyyyy to eat the creamy soups now...!!!

I ate "low fat" for so long, I keep forgetting that there is a whole world of stuff out there I can eat now that used to be off-limits!

Okay...digging around the recipe thread now...thanks for the fabulous ideas!!
