| I'm a longtime low carber who is only now working my way through the rungs properly. I've enjoyed it, but I began OWL with my weight a bit higher than I like it, didn't lose much, so I'm back to Induction until it stabalizes. I'll admit that I am frustrated. My foods are fine, but I am not losing. I wonder if I can only lose on Induction. I see people losing at 50,60, 70g of net carbs and wonder what I'm doing wrong. But I'm a by-the-book girl, so again, not seeing progress pisses me off. I want to weigh 125 pounds, a perfectly healthy weight for my height, but my body is laughing at me. Can I really not lose at 30 grams of carbs a day? That's fine, but I had hoped for more. I lift weights with cardio 3- 4 times a week. I enjoy it. Mostly. No one bugs me about this WOE. I've been low carbing for 4 years and so they know better. I feel better, I look better, and I like what I eat. I went to Italy for a month last year and got off track with all of the yummy Italian panini and other goodies, but I'm back on track now and back within my normal weight range. So there it is...not a cheerful rendition of the Atkins song at the moment. I love this WOE but I wish my body would comply. And...OWL is more like Premaintenance for me, which makes me wonder if I'll ever get to eat beans or plantain again (I was on the berry rung at 30 grams of carbs per day). Anyhoo.

| I am on the berry rung and so far have been doing very well testing things out and having no trouble controlling portions. Right now I'm struggling with percentages though, getting my calories right (they are usually too low as I'm not all that hungry) and my fat percentage is too high....I think once I lower the fat, increase my exercise, my appetite will come back and hopefully I can keep myself satisfied without going over the limit on fats. It's a tough juggle that's for sure!

| Who's here? Mjett37 How are you doing? Any major accomplishments? Any setbacks? Iam doing ok been gone for awhile, feel in love with the most handsome man and put some of the weight back on What are your plans for Spring and Summer? For the Summer it is my goal to lose those 33 pounds that I gained since I feel in love , although he is having a problem with me losing the 33 pounds I am like you don't have to carry it around but (yea that's where it's mostly at , but I know the good people here and I am headed back on the right track so tommorrow I start the OWL level from the top rung. |

| Hi! I finally faced my fears of having to actually do some work by keeping more track of things and getting out of my comfort zone and for the first time in all 3 times of doing this diet, Im moving up the ladder. Im now on the diary rung. Even though I never had a problem getting board with the food, I am finding it exciting to eat new things and see how they effect me. I am definately struggling with intaking enough cals and such. Portion control is still an issue. Not always but sometimes. I am going to start only using saucers instead of the big plates because I want to fill them up with meat. Yep, too much protein lately. Everything else is great. I am still losing, just a bit slower than the first time and second time around. this is to be expected though. I cant wait for the berry rung! I miss fresh blue berries. Sure would liven up breakfast, lol. I hope to be back in my old pants that I had lost down to last time around before getting pregnant. They are 18s and im in a snug 20 now so it doesnt seem like a lot. I should be able to do it. I am noticing though that since having another baby, my fat shifted yet again and Im not shaped the same as I was last time at the same weight. So, that sucks. I have even more belly this time if thats possible. I was doing awesome with getting my exercise in for a few weeks there but now I force myself. The SWEC helps. If it werent for that I wouldnt do it at all. Well, speaking of that, I have been slacking so Im going to hit that treadmill, then maybe some crunches. I was so afraid to leave induction that my weight loss would slow and even though everyone else atested that that wasnt the case, I still knew even if I did continue to lose, Id have to change things yet again such as start counting carbs again (I got so used to my same old menu I didnt have to most days) and weighing, measuring, etc. However this is how we learn to eat for life so I have to start sometime and better sooner than later. It actually isnt bad so far. IM enjoying it.

| Would I be imposing if I wanted to start a Summer 2008 OWL Roll Call thread? I'm fairly new here and don't want to overstep my bounds |
