you shouldnt find anything in the veggies rung that will stall you - i dont think i know anyone who has found anything there...

hmm...okay, let me see... my problems....

I got a yeast infection from Cream which made me stall for what seemed like forever - however once this had cleared up i had no probs with cream though i am careful with how much i eat nowadays.

I'm allergic to strawberries and they make me stall, darnit! i love those too!

Melon causes me to want more melon, too much melon, bad melon.

i think thas all the problems ive had...

Diet coke stalls me also so i stay away from anything sweetened with aspartame.

but yep, just cos i stalled from this stuffs doesnt mean you will, and i dont think anyone else has had the same problems ive had

cept the aspartame of course that stalls lots of people, which puts out lots of soft drinks and sf jello and stuffs.

the CREAM 'might' be a problem for me because I LOVE IT!!! i have ALWAYS used Powered Cream in my Coffee (which is really gross) and i have been using Heavy Cream lately (just 2tsp) but this weekend i even stopped using THAT... i just put a touch of Stevia in my Mug and it was fine... didnt miss the Cream at all and that is a BIG change for ME! im going to love moving up the Rungs and finding out other things i can do Without! this is fun!

Default Re: YOUR stallers?

nuts seem to have caused problems for me when I tried them the first time.
I went by the 5 g rule and that was just way too much for me since I'm not big on nuts.
anyway, I had gained the day after I tried nuts os I kept my hands off.
now I tried nuts again but only in fairly small amounts and its fine.
cream is yummy but it makes me feel a bit bloated sometimes, so its not a staller but doesnt make me feel great either.
strawberries...well I ate them for 3 days now and the first 2 days I kept losing, now I gained something.
I did have salty sausages yesterday though, so it could just be water I retained.
I find that I just have to find a managable amount, at least on the lower rungs, and can eat everything I tried so far.

I imagine the real stallers will come on the higher rungs where a lot of fruit sugar and starch are involved.

Stallers:
Salted nuts---I have to roast my own.
All brands of commercial ricotta cheese, except for 1 store brand

Cravers:
Cantaloupe--but I'm okay with honeydew and watermelon
Any dish that combines eggplant and tomato--but tomatoes and eggplant cooked/prepared on their own or in combination with other vegetables don't do this to me.
pork chops---don't know what it is but a well cooked, juicy pork chop makes me want to eat more well cooked, juicy pork chops.

Doesn't stall me, doesn't crave me, but messes with my asthma and allergies:
Wheat

Default Re: YOUR stallers?

I'm on the Nuts and Seeds rung.

Let's see.......

Rung 1: There are no veggies that seem to stall me.

Rung 2: I've tried cottage cheese and low-carb icecream. Neither stall me.

Rung 3: So far, sunflower seeds on my salad, almonds, and walnuts on my spaghetti squash are all I've tried - nothing is stalling me.

Just for the record, caffeine and splenda and aspartame have never stalled me, either. I have a regular cycle of losing for about 10 days, then pausing and hovering at a given weight for another 9-10 days which is not influenced in any way by what I eat or how much I exercise.

How about GAINERS?? LOL

Coffee with cream and sweetner--because I want more more more
Nuts because I want more more more.
Bacon--it'll add 2 lbs to me overnight. Had 1/2 a slice the other day--2 lbs the next morning on the scale. Dangit! And, I love the stuff.
Anything dairy, actually, because I want more more more.
Sugar Alcohols (or anything made with them) because I want more more more.

I'm really senstive to sodium, i tend to really bloat if i get carried away.

Nuts, I have serious portion control issues. though i will admit i do still eat them on occaision...due to lack of wilpower.

cheese, more portion control issues.

Alchohol slows my weighloss, wine makes me retain water like crazy.

I've been lucky that other than sodium, I haven't had any true food problems like allergies etc. i can pretty much eat from any rung.

Nuts are the worst for me. I'm OK with raw nuts but I gain right away if I eat peanuts or cashews or store bought salted nuts.
Nectorines don't only stall me but they cause all kinds of problems now. dunno why.
Watermelon but only because I can't control myself and then want to eat all day.
Cheese but again because I eat waaay to much of it!
