| I am guessing that they were battered? You didn't ruin your day. Acknowlege and move on. Go to fitday and make sure you account for the battered chicken strips, figure out approx how many extra carbs you had, and alter the rest of your day accordingly. Try to make sure that any other carbs you have today are good, healthy veggie carbs. Mistakes are like bumps in the road. They don't have to force you off the road. They maybe make you slow down a little, but you keep going and watch ahead more carefully so you don't hit another one. |

| Don't look back...go forward to goal. Tonight make sure you boil some eggs or having something legal ready to grab in case you wake up hungry tomorrow morning. This is a learning experience. We learn why we eat certain things, when and what we grab for and then we make our plan around the way we feel, think and act. You are doing great, This way of life is NOT a punishment to yourself. Don't starve or go carbless the rest of the day. Thats not the way to enjoy your new way of life and make this a habit. Drink lots of water and get right back on track. Sure, you goofed, but you learned and now you can take action to avoid it from happening again. Have a great day, exercise and feel good about yourself. You are worth it.

| Thank you both for your kind words. That is what I plan to do. I am not going to let this get the best of me. I just will proceed with my day and learn from that moment. Niki |

Use this as a learning experience---so figure out why you did what you did. Maybe you might need to keep "quickie" Atkins legal foods in your frig at all times, stuff like hard boiled eggs or even some legal leftovers from the night before.

| it's funny, I automatically assumed the chicken strips were not breaded. That means atkins has a hold on me! hehe. sorry, I hope you've learned a valuable lesson. BE PREPARED. If you are that hungry in the mornings, make sure you have something legal on hand at all times!

By that definition if we eat less than 100 grams we are still within a ketogenic diet range, so we should still be producting ketones. What's the purpose of Induction? It's to get our bodies to break down fat, thereby producing ketones. Right? Dr. Atkins picked the magic number of 20 because that was the level when the majority of us do that. Note the word majority. That means some of us need to eat lower levels in order to get into ketosis and some of us can eat higher levels to get into ketosis. So pick up where you left off in OWL and continue on. Use this as a learning experience and be more prepared tomorrow. Running back to Induction will only brainwash you that you need to use Induction as a crutch every time you make a minor mistake.
