| Yes, its best to take around 2 to 3 weeks on each rung. Your weight naturally fluctuates so you cant tell anything in one week.

| the only other way to tell is taking your measurements but tbh even that doesnt work for me anymore. i've been losing ...but slowly during the last weeks and sometimes the scale goes up instead of down so right now it takes 1 or 2 weeks for me to know if new food has any negative influence on me. and being at 50 net carbs at the moment I figure I'll reach my limit soon so I feel I'm on dangerous territory here lol Just as long as my ketostix show color I trust that everything is still ok I know the scale problem, I've been at home sick for the last 3 days and I step on the scale every few hours just for fun to see how much the food and water weigh that i had during the day....its horrible hahaha

| I can't do the measurement thing either!!! It takes me an eternity to lose inches, but I look slimmer. It's strange. I know my belly is much smaller, but it doesn't register as much smaller on the tape measure. Plus, I'm losing a lot of volume on my face and chin(s)...it's little hard to measure that. I'd be a little nervous around 50 carbs as well! Sounds like you're doing wonderfully though |

| Make sure there aren't other things messing up your loss, like TOM issues. The other thing is to make sure you are measuring your foods properly and not eating foods that aren't Atkins legal---like regular ketchup or something like that. If your clothes fit larger, then you ARE losing weight. Some of us lose inches all over. So you might lose a 1/2 inch here or a 1/4 inch there. When I began my Atkins, I didn't really lose any inches for the first few months. Then my body did a "total body shrink" and I lost inches rapidly enough for people to notice. I don't know why this happened, but it was a pattern with me----when I changed my exercise routine, I actually gained inches (probably from water retention), then about 3 months later I had a total body shrink. I just think it's just the wacky way my body does things.

thats probably where everyone starts showing their losses first, I'm sure my second chin was the first to shrink mwahaha. funny though that you know you lost inches but it doesnt show on the tape measure, maybe you are building muscles there instead? but well, it probably really just needs time just like owl does. I thought I make a run for it and rush through the rungs but I've reached a level where I'm so comfy with what I eat that I forgot to move up to the next rung for several weeks. looks like its going well for you too, I hope you enjoy all the food choices you have soon
