| Em - On Rung 1, you add veggies in 5 gram increments... not by the cup. Some veggies take less than a cup to make 5 grams... some take more. I can't imagine adding more veggies would stop your losses... I mean, I guess it is possible for someone who has a very high metabolic resistance to weight loss. But if you lost a substantial amount of weight during induction, you aren't highly resistant. I suspect that it is something unrelated to the extra veggies that is tripping you up. I actually jumpstarted my losses after Induction by adding more veggies. Have you posted any menus in the Review My Menu Forum? Have you added any other new foods lately? Do you use Fitday?

According to the veggies you list above, this is the breakdown Salad List 1/2 cup mushrooms Other List 1 cup cabbage 1 cup broccoli 1/2 cup chayote squash Chayote squash isn't on the 2002 Atkins Diet Induction List. But I'm assuming you added this vegetable because it is on the 1992 Atkins Diet Induction List as an "other list" vegetable (in that edition it was called by its other name, christophene). According to the USDA Nutrient Database 1/2 cup mushrooms, raw has 0.75 net carbs 1 cup cooked cabbage has 1.37 net carbs 1 cup broccoli raw has 3.6 net carbs 1/2 cup chayote raw has 1.8 net carbs Therefore, you've been eating about 6-7 net carbs from vegatables alone. As Mitzi said, review your menu in totality. See what you've been eating/drinking in addition to the vegetables. The only thing that changes from Induction to Rung 1 OWL is the addition of 5 net carbs veg. The other thing you should consider is the post-Induction stall. That happens in some folks between the 3rd to 6th weeks of this diet.

| Thanks guys for answering my question. I am going back to fitday AND changing my veggies around some. I need to eat more salad veggies it sounds like and not as much as the higher ones if that makes sense. |
