Default What is your CCLL?

I am just wondering what everyone's CCLL is?

I'm around 5ft so anyone around my size I'd be curious.

Thanks!

A CCLL is a highly individualized number... and your size is a minor factor compared to other factors in determining it. OWL is where you find out which, and how many, carbs your body can handle. Two people who are 5 feet tall may have entirely different CCLL's. Metabolism, activity level, quality of carbs, etc., will come into play so you really can't compare yourself with others.

Having said that, I found my CCLL to be about 45 net carbs as long as most of my carbs came from veggies. Higher up the rungs, the number seamed lower... although, that was more an intolerance to the foods, rather than an intolerance of the number of carbs. As long as I was eating mostly veggies for carbs, I could lose just as fast at 45 net carbs as I could at 20.

Thank you so much for you post! and the other one as well for how often should I weigh in. they were extremly helpful!

Can you explain to me how owl works? What does WOE stand for?

I read the sticky's on owl but do you just add 5 more carbs in ladder 1, then 2, then 3 and so forth? Until you get cravings or gain weight? I mean how do you find that you can only have so much of fruit carbs vs. nuts or veggies?

WOE = Way of eating

My CCLL is shown in my signature, and that number is only as long as I keep up my exercise. It would be lower if I stopped.

Here is a link to a sticky that explains OWL:

http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ction-owl.html

I've got a lot of weight to lose, but I felt that unless I found my CCLL and could put more variety into my meals, the odds of me sticking to this WOE long term were slim. (get it, slim...). Because I've moved up the rungs, I'm able to eat some strawberry's with cream and not be afraid I'll fall out of ketosis. I keep my carb intake between 15 and 40, but I always have a minimum of 15 vegetable carbs.

Default Re: What is your CCLL?

i recently lost 5lbs (of 13 post-goal pounds gained), at 80-100 net carbs a day, with 30-45 mins of cardio 3/4 times a week and some weights/toning 3x a week.

I'm lucky in that I have no food intolerances on any of the rungs besides peanut butter and nuts both of which I can have no self control around (so i have to really watch myself!).

As Mitzi said, this is going to be a very individual number...
