| I added milk---the real stuff. However, I used it in cooking rather than downing a 4 ounces of it. For example, you can mix it with heavy cream for custards or ice creams. You can melt alittle cheese into it for a cheese sauce. SAme thing with buttermilk, if you can find the full fat variety: use it in dressings like buttermilk dressings for coleslaw. Buttermilk is also used in some Southern recipes to tenderize chicken (soak the chicken in the buttermilk), similar to marinading chicken in yogurt for tandoori. Or use in place of heavy cream in some soups, like cold cucumber soup or any warm creamy vegetable soup that can benefit from the tangyness. Other dairy I added during this rung was kefir (a type of fermented milk product), yogurt (mainly for use in recipes rather than eating on its own), fresh cheeses like cottage cheese, ricotta, chevre.

| Megs always have such good ideas. I wish I was more imaginative as a cook - but I am working on it. I love the dairy rung. I like to eat yogurt and cottage cheese especially. I make my own yogurt from whole milk (This is quite easy to do) I flavour them a bit (once in berry rung I added berries) and I add a bit of cream to the cottage cheese. There are also the soft cheeses that you are not allowed on induction - such as ricotta. ( A bit of cocoa with ricotta is good

| Oh my, Meg, you had me at Southern foods!! I NEVER would have thought to add REAL milk back in. I'm not a big milk drinker, never have been, and only used it for coffee, cereal, and with big, warm, cho---never mind. The idea is interesting. You really are creative with your foods! Thanks for sharing! Creek, thanks for pointing that recipe out. I have made cauliflower soup before but I don't think I used Linda's recipe. I love her recipes! Liv, I like yogurt (for the most part, it ranks up there with milk on my list---it's okay with stuff in it) oh, cottage cheese and flavors! That sounds good. I actually bought orange, limon, rum, and almond flavorings--I could play around more with those. I may try making a veggie lasagna with ricotta next weekend...yum! I'll leave the homemade cottage cheese to you Thanks for all you ideas! It's helped me get over a little bit of "what do I try this time around" bump in the road.

| The small 1 serving containers of FAGE Total 5% Greek yogurt have exactly 5 carbs in them so they're perfect for OWL, not to mention to die for. Make sure its the 5% though. The other ones have different amounts of carbs in them.
