Adding the rung 2 foods one at a time is a good plan. If you find problems with one food for example cottage cheese and would really like to include it in your menus you might find that trying a different brand allows you to eat it and still loose weight. Different brands of the same foods often have different effects on our body so you may find one that suits you.

| Thanks Elizellen! I hadn't thought of than. I'm now down 5 pounds from two weeks ago when the weight gaining problem started. I'g going to restart rund 2 again, and only add one food at a time, and if I find a problem one try a different brand if it is a food I really want.

| Great plan ![]() Following OWL as if it is a scientific experiment and observing the effects of adding different foods and a different level of net carbs can be so useful in finding out how your body works. I am proud of you for deciding to do things the way Dr Atkins suggested in order to have understood how your body reacts and be able to maintain your goal weight once you get there!!

| Good work 7Miriam! Great job on your total weightloss to date. When I decided to move up the rungs I will do as you are going to do and as Dr. Atkins says and only add one of the foods at a time. The last thing I want to do is undo any progress I've made. I'm sure you'd agree. Keep it up! |

| I guess I forgot that I was only supposed to be adding one new food at a time. It didn't seem to matter with veggies, none ever gave me a problem, so I guess I got in a bad habbit of adding more than one in a week.
