| Congrats on moving to OWL! It sounds like you made the right decision for the time to move. All those extra veggies are really good for you too. I will recommend making home-made ice cream if you can. That way you avoid all those sugar alcohols. I started OWL for similar reasons. Thanksgiving was coming up, and my birthday was the day after, so I started OWL and was on rung 3 for the holiday, and made it to rung 5 just in time for the new year. It was great having my own desserts to eat, and the others tried my chocolate peanut-butter cheese cake and liked it. So I had home-made ice cream and the cheesecake and actually lost weight over the holiday. That was the first time in ten or more years that I didn't gain weight.

| I'd try it with a small portion size - buy a 50g bar instead of a 250g bar and eat it at home. If a few hours afterwards you aren't back at the store buying more, or sitting on the toilet in agony, you are probably ok. Moderation really is the key to this sort of thing.

| Loonatika, I am sure I read somewhere that if the SA's dont send you to the loo your body is using the carbs from the SA's and so you should count them all rather than net them. Does anyone know if this is true?

| Yeah I'm pretty sure this is right - I just meant they send some people to the loo straight away. I usually count all the carbs anyway for that sort of thing.
