| You do not have to eat 20 g carbohydrate. That is just an upper limit. The rules you should follow are: 1. Eat 3 cups of vegetables -- maximum 1 from the "Other Vegetables" list and the rest from the "Salad Vegetables" list. 2. Make sure over half of your net carbs come from vegetables. So if your 3 cups of veggies add up to 8 net carbs, then you can eat maximum 7 from things like eggs, cheese, cream, avocado, spices, etc. I don't know what are the Walden Farm products or what Carbquik is, but always check the ingredients. If they contain ingredients not allowed until Rung X, then you will have to wait until Rung X to use them.

Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!" | Good work on moving to OWL. To do OWL you will need to know how many carbs you are now eating - so that you know how to add 5 to them so good thing you are taking time to do that. The thing about OWL is that we should only eat things from the rung we are currently on. So first up would be veggies. I am not sure what Walden Farm products you are thinking of trying. Carbquick would be allowed on the last rung. It contains grain products.
