| You can definitely move up the rungs without increasing your carb intake. But at one point you will need to find your CCLL, so you'll have to experiment with more carbs (e.g. stay at 30 g for more than one week and see what happens). You said you stalled at 30 net carbs... What food did you add? It is possible that you were stalled by the food you added and not by the higher carb intake. Are you exercising? Those who exercise regularly (see how Dr. Atkins defines this in DANDR) typically have a CCLL in the 60-90 g range.

| Hi Georgiana the week I stalled and went upto 30 carbs was on dairy. I've also realised that I don't seem to be able to go over 1400 cals either to lose weight. The reason I put 20 lb to lose was because that seemed a good weight to get back to and one i hadn't been for 4 years and was realistic. That would make me around 10st 10lb and at 5ft.5" this isn't small or not sure if it is correct weight for my height. How do you know? I bike to and from work 2-3 times a week which is 14 miles a day but apart from that I don't do any other exercise. As alwys ty for advice. Ally |

| Yes, I am thinking that perhaps a particular dairy product was the culprit and not the total carbs. The way to find out is to add the carb grams with foods you know don't stall you. Also too much cheese always slows me down. That could be it. Definitely experiment since your CCLL may really be much higher. Finally, one week without a loss doesnt mean you hit your CCLL. Your body could have been adjusting to the dairy or maybe it was just an off week. Now if four weeks go by without a loss, then you have to question. I would say try again. |
