Default Re: lo carb peanut butter?

Just normal peanut butter is fine. Avoid any that has added sugar (Always read labels). It is not going to be low carb so you have to reduce amounts. You cannot have more than 5 carb worth.
(Dangerous stuff peanut butter - hard to not over eat So watch it.

It should be be unsweetened 'natural' peanut butter.

The best are the kind you need to stir when first opened to mix in the oil and put in the fridge (this keeps the oil from separating)....If they do not require stirring it is likely they will have hydrogenated oil (trans fat) to stabilize.

The ingredients should just be peanuts, or just peanuts and salt.

And if you cannot find peanut butter or other nut butters without added sugar you can always make your own by putting some nuts into a food processor and blitzing it till it is the consistency you like.

I have made almond, walnut and macadamia nut butters this way for using in recipes.

Default Re: lo carb peanut butter?

I used to like Adams' Natural Peanut butter which i could get at Walmart, but they stopped carrying it for some reason here. they may still have it there.

I now buy the Great Value (walmart generic brand) smooth natural peanut butter. I like that it has a bit of salt added to me it adds to the flavour (adams did as well which is why i liked it).

Most of our grocery stores here have generic brands of natural and organic peanut butters so I usually buy the cheapest brand depending where i shop. To me aside from the salt, basically since they're just made of 100% peanuts, they pretty much all taste the same it's price that determines which one i will buy.

Not directly when you finish Induction. Only when you reach OWL Rung 3.

Just wondering do you add any liquid to make it more smoother? thanks

That is really spooky, but I just made some tonight, as my hubby is on a peanut butter sarnie kick!

I added a spoonful of walnut oil to it to make it the runny consistency he likes. I also added a few drops of liquid sucralose as he likes it sweet.
