Default Georgiana! Question about jam!

Im currently on phase 2 rung 3 nuts/seeds and wondered when I could use sugar free jam? I make my own bread using almond flour and am looking forward to jam on toast!

If you could recommend a good s/f brand i'd be grateful!

Thanks!

(sorry should have posted on OWL!)

OK I'll move it for you.

G may not be able to sign in today. But she will be back soon. I can tell you what I think though. I think that jam is made out of berries and ans such it can be tried out on rung 4.

Your bread sounds great. Do you have a recipe to share?

Thanks Liv!

My bread IS great! Even my hard to please non atkins sister liked the small tin loaf I baked for her!

Recipe (very simple)

250g Ground almond flour
50g organic butter
4 tsp mixed spice or cinammon
2 level tsp baking soda
5 medium eggs

Mix dry ingredients together
Melt butter then mix wet ingredients together

Combine ingredients and bake gas mark 150 (uk) for 40 mins
the top of the bread should be a nice golden brown

Small bread tin 9x4.5x2

will make 20 oz loaf and 10 servings
total NC Per loaf 9.1

Oops. I was away for a few days and I missed this thread...

Sugar free jam. You mean the one you find in the section for diabetics? I think it has fructose or something, doesn't it? To be honest, I never checked the ingredients carefully as I don't really care about jam. Mom makes strawberry jam home though and she makes a few servings without added sugar. I remember it being quite good, but it's been years since I had any. Probably you could use any other berries. Grandma makes jam from raspberries (with sugar), but it has a lot of seeds in it and... well... she's the only one eating it that way (the rest of us are spoiled ).

I wonder on which rung you can have rose jam...

Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"
