| Hi there. Did you check the ingredients in those sausages? And what do you mean by "alot"? More than it was necessary to satisfy your hunger? What food did you add when you moved to OWL? Did you add more veggies? Or did you add something else?

| Hi there well I am on the go all the time work 10 hours a day so I pack a lunch of 5 slices of Hickory Farms Sausage 1 boiled egg and snack on cracklins. I do use cream in my coffe and use spenda. I do eat a salad of only lettuce and eat tuna for lunch or ham that is packaged. In the evening I eat salad again and meat either baked or fried. I do not use flour or eat bread but I did stop the diet last night so my question would be should I start all over again or continue on Phase 2? |

| If you are out of ketosis, you should do Induction for a few days until you get back there and then continue from where you left. But OWL Rung 1 requires eating 5 g net carbs more of vegetables. "More", that is over the 3 cups you had during Induction. You should also get over half of your net carbs from vegetables, which I'm not sure it happens unless you eat a bunch of lettuce. Are you having enough fat in your diet? Doesn't really look that way from what you posted. Atkins is high fat, moderate protein, low carb and excess protein can be converted into glucose. ---- I have moved this thread to the "Ongoing Weight Loss (OWL)" forum.

| hi -- as Georgiana said you need to get more fats in your diet daily and eat veggies other that just a salad...try to get 1 cup of veggies off the "other" veggie list (broccoli, etc). Check the induction link again, make sure you know the foods are you allowed to eat for the first phase -- check the recipe sites and make a couple meals ahead - most freeze well and can be eaten hot or cold once they are thawed out. If you need some help just let us know! stay away from the shakes and bars (they are NOT legal on induction) - eat a variety of foods, get your fats, carbs and protein in daily, drink plenty of pure water (nothing added), take your supplements and exercise...it's really that easy. Read the 2002 DANDR book so you know what you’re doing. Check the stickies (information posts) at the top of this page http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/ Drink a minimum of 64 ounces of water each day, including: Filtered water Mineral water Spring water Tap water Crystal Lite, sugar free teas, sodas, latte’s, smoothies – don’t count – PURE water is the only thing that counts toward your daily water intake. Now is the time to make changes – stop using these products. If you need a “flavor” in your water float a lemon or lime slice on top of your water Check the recipe sites also - they are very helpful and will help make your meals so much more enjoyable. | The rules for induction is to eat ONLY what is on the list for allowed foods. To do that you have read labels carefully. Sugar Fee Jello - contains aspartame and Atkins believed it stalled people. I would not risk it on induction. Redi whip- those are disasters usually. Take a look at the ingredient list and you will see what I mean. Coffee mate - probably contains all kinds of chemicals. Use real cream. 6 table spoons is too much of anything like that. Coffee can be problematic for some. Did you get the book. If not try to find a copy. It is very helpful.
