In OWL Rung 1 you are supposed to add more vegetables to your Induction menu (5 net carbs), not chewing gum. Quote:
In any case, Atkins bars are known stallers. You should know that by eating them, you are risking slowing down or stalling your weight loss.

| Thanks Georgiana. I will count the chewing gum towards my 3 serving artificial sweetner count. Today, I plan on having -1 glass of metamucil (has artifical sweetner) -1 tea with 1 stevia pack -1 stick of chewing gum before my run... That's ok right? I will avoid the atkins bars unless I am going on a long hike (8 hours or more)... Thanks again! Eve |

| That should be acceptable. The less sweeteners the better but if you need all of them, then go ahead. I wonder though, what is the sweetener in Metamucil? Is it aspartame? You might be better off finding another fiber supplement. Pure psyllium husk would probably be your best bet. If you need it as a drink you could mix up your own flavors. I know some stevia and sucralose come with fiber now also like Sweetleaf and "Splenda with Fiber" though I am not sure how much is in a packet. |
