| Whenever I go camping I cook several chicken breasts with olive oil and italian seasoning in the oven. I sort of over cook them to make them dry (so they won't get bad as quickly) and I just munch on my chicken breasts during the hike. They last 2 days without refridgeration. Also, everytime your party stops some at a fast food place, you can make sure you eat chicken salads without the croutons, etc. You can also pack boiled eggs and pork rinds. 7-11 always has boiled eggs and cheese sticks too. I think you can also dehydrate your own meat if you have one of those. Do you have a mini-cooler? If so, your options are wider. Eve |

| A Cooler will be your friend. If you can stop at super markets along the way you have it made. You can always buy some rotisserie chicken and other cold cuts - fresh veggies - cream cheese. Many places sell boiled eggs - those are cool. All day breakfast places are nice places to eat - you may have to bring your own veggies but you can always get a good omelet and other goodies there. I like buffets - if you know you can stay away from temptations - I usually make some revolution rolls to eat with burgers if I know the stops will be fast food joints. Pork rinds, cheese strings and pepperoni are things that will keep well unfridgerated. So will some veggies like pepper. Olives in a jar. Cans of tuna, chicken, sardines. Jerky is good if you make your own. I usually bring some Atkins shakes and bars for emergencies. Yes they are problematic but in emergencies they are better than the alternatives. I had an Atkins bar that traveled to Europe and back with me. Hope you have fun
