Default Rung 2 - what exactly can I have?

Is it diary? or just fresh cheese?

my weight loss is virtually at a stand still (but yes my inches are coming off!) I have been on extra veggies for last couple of weeks... exercising 5 times a week -

where to go now? next rung? adding what exactly?

sorry, there is probaly a sticky somewhere stating everything, can someone point me in the right direction pls? many thanks!

You could add fresh cheeses. Or yogurt, milk, more heavy cream, more sour cream. You could even add more of the Induction cheeses (aged), but not more than 5 oz because Dr. Atkins counted each ounce of cheese as 1 net carb.

Check "The Power of Five" section in Chapter 14 of DANDR 2002. From the list there:
Quote:
5 oz farmer's cheese or pot cheese
5 oz mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup cottage cheese
2/3 cup ricotta cheese
1/2 cup heavy cream

Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"

I added primarily yogurt, cottage cheese, milk (in recipes). I do use ricotta and mascarpone once in a while too.

I added Greek Yoghurt, Natural Yoghurt, ricotta and mascarphone cheese. I didnt like the Natural Yoghurt plain so i use it to make a nice chicken korma or a dip.

It is a plain unflavoured yogurt that has been strained to remove soem of the whey (liquid). One brand is called 'total' made by a company called 'Fage'.
Total Greek Yoghurt -

Other companies make a greek style strained yogurt too, so don't give up if your local shops don't stock the Fage one.

Our local Lidl sells it's own brand of fullfat greek style yogurt at half the price that other supermarkets sell the Fage brand!

I always buy the higher fat variety if available rather than the 0% or 2% fat one as it is less carby.
