| You start OWL from Rung 1, by adding 5 net carbs of vegetables. So no nuts (OWL Rung 3), fresh cheeses, milk, yogurt (OWL Rung 2) or berries (OWL Rung 4) yet. :) I would definitely try to add starchy vegetables (OWL Rung 8) in OWL, because if they have an impact on your blood sugar, it's likely this will be lower than if you were to add them in 10 net carb amounts. Read the sticky threads in this forum to see how OWL should be done: Ongoing Weight Loss (OWL) - Atkins Diet Sticky threads are marked with the word "Sticky" followed by the name of the thread. Try to get the 2002 edition of DANDR too. And in the meantime, keep asking questions. :)

| Thanks girly!!! It gets so hard to understand some of this stuff some times.. I think people try to make it more complicated than it really is! I'll start eating more of the vegetables that I love for a few weeks and then I'll tackle throwing in an extra 5 carbs with nuts and berries. Awesome..can't wait!! |
