Default What is the average amount of carbs a person can eat and maintain their weight loss?

Hello!

I'm new to Aktins and just trying to see how things will be for me in the future. What is the average amount of carbs a person who weighed 185 but lost weight to get to 135 can eat without gaining? When you get to that weight do you start to count calories more, too?

Thanks!

The answer is that there is no answer. It's as individual as we each are.

When I'm being a good girl and regularly, I can eat in excess of 100 grams a day and be just fine.

One of the beautiful things about this WOE is that as you progress through the phases and work your way through OWL, you're going to learn how many carbs and calories you can handle. It's a process though. It takes time and diligence- which is why the good Doctor wanted us to spend 6 months losing those last few pounds. The info you get during OWL is critical to your maintenance success.

Yes like Brook says - it varies a lot. We are so different as people and what we do in form of exercise will affect this.
Counting calories - or at least keeping and eye on them does become more relevant when you get smaller. The problem with being small is that you do not need as much food as you did when you were large and it can take a bit of time to get used to this. So glancing over at the calories to make sure you are not eating too much is useful. But I don't really count them. I sort of just check once in a while to make sure I am not suddenly eating a lot.

What Brook and liv said.

I can eat up to 50 net carbs daily and lose weight. We've had members who could eat over 100 net carbs and still lose weight. We've had others who can only eat 20 net carbs if they wanted to lose weight.

so it really depends on your body.
