Default splenda=weight gain?

Hi!

I use liquid sucralose, and I was just wondering if using too much of it is bad for weight loss. I eat three of these guys every morning:

6-8 oz cream cheese
4 large eggs
2 cups pork rind flour (crush into a fine powder)
1 cup soy bake mix (GNC and Atkins make good bake mixes)
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon
½ to ¾ cup Splenda
1 tsp vanilla

CINNAMON GLAZE

1 stick of butter
8 oz cream cheese
½ cup of Splenda
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
Davinci French Vanilla Syrup*
Davinci Vanilla Syrup*

Too much?

How many does this recipe make?

The limit of sweetener is 3 servings per day. So having Splenda AND DaVinci is probably putting you over the limit.

It makes 24 servings. I thought the three servings of splenda a day was only for induction? Can fake sugar make you gain?

No we are limited on sweetener for the whole journey.
So you eat an 1/8 of that recipe? It looks very sweet and very carby. How many carbs does that measure. I would be weary eating that much carbs - and none of them being veggies on a daily basis. We have to keep eating veggies on OWL. Loads of them. Soy would not be legal on rung 3 (only 6) - the Atkins bake mix I think only on rung 9

I concur ... since the current formula is wheat based.

Each one has 1.5 carbs; I use almond flour in place of the whey flour. I guess I should have mentioned that. But probably I should find something else to eat for breakfast?

I have trouble, because I can't eat eggs; they irritate my stomach (I can have them in something, like a cake, just not straight eggs). I'm not sure what a good Atkins breakfast should be. I also eat turkey bacon in the morning, and I'm still trying to keep my sodium intake down. Hmmm...I should do some breakfast research!

Have you tried the cream cheese muffin or the MUP (the pumpkin and cream cheese muffin?) You can eat some chicken salad or meats for breakfast some times. And on rung 3 you can have some cottage cheese, yogurt. I make a muffin using almond meal, flax and pumpkin
http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...d-muffins.html (Flaxseed Muffins)

I forgot to mention my favourite the flaxseed muffing (muffin in a minute). Have you tried it? It has an egg in it so I don't know how that would work for you. But it is really good.

Can you eat cooked eggs like an egg casserole or a crustless quiche? Or do they have to be more "hidden" than that?

Thank you for all of your help!

Liv, I have tried the flax muffin-in-a-minute, but it seems like I can never drink enough water to keep up with the flax! But the other muffin seems good...

Atkinsgal08, I can have eggs as long as they don't make up the bulk of the recipe (i.e. have so much that they have an egglike texture).

I am going to have to look up some good breakfast recipes. Maybe I should start an Atkins breakfast thread?
