| >>How in the world will I loose any more if I start adding carbs now?>> One of the greatest misconceptions about doing Atkins is that the fewer carbs you eat the better you will lose ... and that if you move up the ladder as the good Doctor intended you won't lose. So many people find that moving to OWL is the best thing ... once they get over their fear of doing it. Remember, you can't ever achieve true success with Atkins without OWL. Enjoy those extra vegetables on Rung 1.

Did you check the ingredients in that turkey spam? And in the corned beef? And I doubt you are eating enough veggies! As I have said in one of my previous replies to you, you have a sweetener addiction (imo). Fueling it with low carb processed/junk foods and drinks (Atkins bars, shakes, Diet Coke, SF Jell-O) is not going to change your eating habits. And every carb you spend on junk food, is a carb less spent on nutritious vegetables.

| You will lose. Just add more veggies. It is had to go wrong with veggies. It is all the other stuff we rush to add that trip up us. So my advice is take is slow through OWL. Have patience. Pamper yourself with good whole food and exercise and clean water and know that you are doing really good things for your body. And even if it is not dropping off like tons every week it is heading in the right direction. Congrats with what you have lost so far. I see your blog says that you are excited about Atkins phase two bars - well don't be. If you really want to lose weight and eat healthy. Whole food should be what you eat most of the time. In my 18 months or so on Atkins OWL I have eaten two bars because I was travelling and ran out of boiled eggs and red peppers.

| I vote with Liv and Georgiana. I bought a 6 pack of shakes and keep them in my fridge. I bought them in February and still have all but one left. They are only for when I am running in the door starving and don't have legal foods ready and available. The sweet stuff is going to break you if you don't break it. The outcome (based on the experience of many many others) is that you will be back, heavier than before, having realized that you should have listened the first time. Tough love. |
