| What is the carb count for this flaxseed recipe? It was really good. I bought some flaxseed a while ago and I have been scared to try it, not any more. How often should I use flaxseed anyway? |

| Actually Imagood is correct, unless you are constipated. If you are, you are allowed 1 or more TBSP a day. I believe it is in induction rule 12. 12.If you are constipated, mix a tablespoon or more of psyllium husks in a cup or more of water and drink daily. Or mix ground flaxseed into a shake or sprinkle wheat bran on a salad or vegetables.

| I really want to thank everyone for those recipes. I had never heard of flax seed cream of wheat. I am going to have it tomorrow for breakfast! |

| I tend to cook my flax meal with butter, splenda and cinnamon by itself till it gets hot and a little crispy, then add the cream. btw if flax isn't helping you get regular try drinking more water with it, if you dont it might just make it worse. working out regularly helps too.

| I think there's some confusion in this thread. Flax is perfectly legal for Induction even if you are not constipated, as long as you use it as your daily fiber supplement (limited to 1 tbsp per day). In larger quantities or if you prefer psyllium husks or wheat bran as a fiber supplement, flax is only allowed from OWL Rung 3 on. DANDR 2002, Ch. 8: Quote:
