Default flax cereal (2 different ones)

Flax Cereal

measure 3/4 cup ground flax seed into bowl
heat 1/2 cup water in microwave to hot (but not to boiling because it degenerates the flax oil)
mix water with the flax
add 1 packet of splenda or 1 tsp splenda sweetened DaVinci syrup (like almond)
add 1 tbsp heavy cream.

Make-ahead flax cereal

"I would suggest making a whole bag of this and putting it in the freezer. makes about a 1 lb bag"

2 c flax meal
2 c wheat bran
8 scoops vanilla protein powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg

mix together in a gallon ziplock bag. you can add chopped nuts and or unsweetened coconut if you want. keep in the freezer, and when you want some just scoop out about a half a cup, then add boiling water and stir. Eat with cream, butter, and splenda. Will keep in the freezer for 6 months to a year.

I've done
1/4 C flaxseed meal
1/2 C water

I added 1 T cream and 1 T SF maple syrup.

I wish I could find the Brown Sugar Twin. I would add that and make it like maple and brown sugar cereal.

Default Brown Sugar Twin

Anyone seen brown sugar twin? I havn't been able to find it. I might even order it off the net if I culd find it.
The Davinci Sugar Free Syrups can be found at T.J. Max and Marshals for only $5.99. Somone on this board pointed that out to me in another topic. I checked and they have it here too and in Des Moines.

I live in MN and we have it in our Cub foods store. It is by the sugars and other sugar substitutes.

Hope this helps!

I don't know if they have the grocery store Safeway where you are, but surprisingly I found Brown Sugar Twin there, about the last place I expected, but glad I checked.

I'm going to keep looking. I remember a loooooooong time ago, my grandad used to buy regular Sugar Twin in Montana. I hadn't thought about it in years until I tried to find Brown Sugar Twin. LOL

I guess if I can't find it locally, I will look for it online, but I would rather find it here.

I ordered some from here -->
http://low-carb-cookbooks.com/store/...6991e04aba4903
It was only $1.99 but I ordered 2 boxes and some sugar free strawberry jam and something else since shipping is $4.95.

I found sugar twin at our local Big Bear store, but NOT brown sugar twin. Can we eat sugar twin? I ask because it is less than half the price for almost twice as much. It's quite a savings. I am finding that Atkins is costing us a fortune. I desire variety and because of that the unusual ingredients combined with all the meat, is doubling my grocery bill.
