Psyllium Fiber Rich Bread , Rolls & Cracker's In Sweet & Savory !!! | | I have been playing around with this idea for a while & as of this morning I have it ready to share. Please Note: That when having any thing that is high in fibre make sure to ALWAYS drink extra water along with it to help keep it for becoming toooo binding in your system !!! The recipe is very close to the MiM but will not raise as high so it's perfect to be used as Fibre Rich Breakfast Goodies, Sandwitch Bread, Burger Rolls & cut into small Cracker like Treats. There are 2 version's one is Sweet perfect for the Morning/After Dinner with Butter/Cream Cheese & Savory for your Sandwitches/Burgers, either is great to use for the Cracker's !!! ~ Sweet Version ~ 1/4 cup Psyllium 1/2 teaspoon Baking Power 1 teaspoon Cinnamon 1/2 Pk Stevia or 1 Pk Splendra (add .9 to net carb count) 1 Large Egg 1 Tablespoon Soft Butter 2 Tablespoon's Water ~ Savory Version ~ 1/4 cup Psyllium 1/2 teaspoon Baking Power 1 teaspoon Mrs Dash Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend 1 Large Egg 1 Tablespoon Soft Butter or 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil ( add 18 to cal count) 2 Tablespoon's Water Mix together all Dry Ingredients first then add the Wet & mix well. For Sandwitch Bread I use a Square Lunch Sandwitch Container, add all of the mix & microwave 1 minute, remove, cool & cut in half. They will be stiff on the outside, nice & soft on the inside. Use right away or they stay fresh in a Ziploc Bag or Container. For Burger Rolls I use a Round Container about the size of Burger Rolls, a Deli Salad Container worked well, add all of the mix & microwave 1 minute, remove, cool & cut in half. They will be stiff on the outside, nice & soft on the inside. Use right away or they stay fresh in a Ziploc Bag or Container. For Cracker like treats just flatten either one of the mixes out on wax paper or a plate & microwave 1 minute, then cut then out into sizes of your choice. Use right away or they stay fresh in a Ziploc Bag or Container. Calorie's ~ 259 with Butter & 277 with Olive Oil Net Carb's ~ 2.8 with Stevia & 3.7 with Splendra Fat ~ 16.9 Protein ~ 8.2 I Hope that you enojoy them & thanks for letting me share once again !!! ~Cindi~ | |
