I thought I would come and hang out today but it is almost impossible on MIL's dial up.I click a forum and reconnect. I post then reconnect. Read a thread........................................ So just a hi note and letting you know I should be home and back to you all in about a week. I miss you all.

Still a quitter, actually I am a non-smoker. I no longer worry at all about ever smoking again. I very very rarley think about it at all. And when I do it's such a fleeting thing, habitual thoughts really. For instance I was at a 7-11 yesterday and I was just there to buy a pack of gum. I saw the cigarettes and almost asked for a pack and then realized not only did I not need them I had no desire and that the thought was pure silliness. Thanks Lauren for starting the thread that inspired me to quit!

I am so immensely proud of you spirit! Even though I didn't manage to quit on my first try I will try again. I really wasn't prepared for the mental struggle. Physically it's easy to give up cigarettes...I mean, it's poison for heaven's sake. The mental part of it got me. I will continue to follow the overcoming addictions forum though, for inspiration, tips and support. Congratulations to all of our successful quitters! Your stories and experience make this one of the most vital forums on ADBB!
