I'll join I need to quit a couple of things...but first and foremost is late night snacking...even though it's on "legal" foods, it's still not good. So, today is the first day/night of my no late night snack challenge

Hi! I am a recovering alcoholic and I had my last drink and cigarette on June 2nd 2005. I will say after 15 years of drinking beer at least every other day, this weight thing is way harder. I'm taking it one day at a time. I never thought I could stop the drinking for this long and I have so I am hoping I can beat my food addiction too.

I just want to quit caffeine and diet coke, I read it is not good for your bones, and I have notice less hair loss when I quit.

hi there, Im new, and this is the 3rd time on this for me, i have NEVER GOTTEN past 9 days on this induction. ever. I am such an addict, I need to quit cheating. I think I need for me anyhow, to incorporate overeaters anonymous. I have a real problem. the nine days though from what i remember did WONDERS. this time, just today, i cheated. once I did, it was a binge, of a big bowl of cereal, with peanut butter in it, yuck, 4 poptarts, 2 slices of bread and that was my only food today. yeah, like it was ok. well for me it is NOT. I AM really mad at myself right now. i felt so good then i went and sabatoged it. I am worried that with a huge cheating day like this, I will never make it. please tell me, is there anyone out there, that has Made it well into their loss, with this kind of cheating in the beginning? did you pick yourself back up and go back to it? that is what I am doing in the morning. did anyone have success after failing so much the first week as I seem to? I am not sure how to post my stuff here, but i did QUIT SMOKING 3 years ago this past June, after a 24 year habit. that is where 70 lbs came in. i am now 40, 5'1, and weigh the all time high of 206 right now. feeling so terrible about myself. any help, pointers etc, i see so many good things here, I am not sure how to sticky myself in tight for the support for me what would be the best. I think the exercise though for sure and do anyone email each other as a buddy team ?? ok, that is all for now. Thanks for listening to this, and I look foward to hearing some great stories of success to give me hope that i am not the only one to cheat and stuggle so much,,, thanks, Ann

Ann!!! First of all, take the biggest deep breath ever!! Now that's out of the way... You can and you WILL make it!! I have faith in you and so does everyone else on this board.

I re-restarted on the 19th and haven't given up. This is my third and final time. I started the first time may5th and lost 25 pounds in two months. Then I fell of and tried to get back on sept 9th, and that was a total flop. I too binged. But no peanut butter in my cereal I made a cake, and ate half, ate cookies and brownies, it was horrible. I know how you feel!!!

You can start tomorrow and you can and will have success. What going on in your life? Stress? Not everyday stuff..big stuff...well no actually the everyday stress can get you. It got me. I felt like everything around me was SOO much more important than me..NOT ANYMORE!!! You are sooo worth it too!! It is so great to hear that you want to restart tomorrow! And the fact that you know you have to exercise is wonderful!!That's such a good attitude!!

You have to find out why you won't allow yourself to be happy. A great person to help you too is cleochatra..she saved me. She said to answer these things:
1. Why aren't you worthy of losing this weight?
2. What is the weight doing for you that you are trying so hard to hold onto it?
3. You are sabotaging yourself, but there is a reason for it. What is that reason?

It took a while, but I answered and then I have a revelation. I read a post titled "why do you give up atkins after success" and it really got my noodle thinking. I posted my own thought separate to find out what other thought. Apparently, I finally got it. It's here http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard....ead.php?t=18482 (Why I Gave up on Atkins after success..)

I hope that I have helped you. I know you can do this!! IF I am, anyone can!! I would love to be your buddy if you want!! I love buddies. The support is great and it really helps. Good luck and keep me postes as to how you're doing!! Love and cyber hugs...Stephanie
