Default Drugs are bad?

Use of 'drugs'(not ones ur doctor gives), is it going to highly effect me in the diet...I am curious cause well I do em quiet a bit...as bad as it is to say and I know I shouldn't but I like em!!! And no chemical drugs all the time....once in a blue moon.

Do you ingest it or smoke it? As I am sure this will make a difference?

Anything artificial is going to effect you and your health - be it man-made or nature-made.

Smoking pot isn't going to effect whether or not Atkins works, but you might not work Atkins really well if you've got munchies from ****. We all know that we're not particularily ambitious when high either, so your activity level is gonna crash too. - And that, of course, doesn't take into account any of the actual physiology of smoking pot.

Or anything else for that matter.

They're crap for your overall well-being/health - so the short answer is yes. LOL

"If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've got."

If I told you that Atkins absolutely will not work if you continue to....imbibe....would it stop you from doing it?

Default Re: Drugs are bad?

I suppose anything you do that 'slows' you down will affect your activity level; just like Brook said. I mean, seriously, do ya feel like going to the gym or out for a brisk walk when your stoned? How bout smoking a joint and doing some situps? I smoked alot of dope when I was younger..quit in Nov. of 1998. I also did 7 long years of Methamphetamine and cocaine. No need to exercise or diet then! You get to be skinny, pick at your skin, look like pure ****, and be up for days..yippeee yeye yo kia yay! Yeah, my mind was yuck and I felt like Crapola..especially when I didn't have it. So, if you want to become dependent on drugs, just realize your in for a nasty little treat. Of course you like them, or you wouldn't want to continue doing them. Do you care enough about your body, your mind, your soul, to do the Atkins WOL? If so, then WHY on earth would you want to ruin yourself with drugs? Does it really matter if drugs affect your diet, when you are simply affecting your natural being by using them? I want you to concentrate on this WOL and stay away from the drugs. I know I can say that 30 more times, and you will do what you want...I did. I wish you wouldn't though

Drugs are bad mmmmkay.

Oh Lord. I can't be hearing this! I am a afterall!

Putting that aside, let me just say that I wish you could plug into my brain for like 2 seconds. If you could only see what I have seen when people 'just smoke pot' or have 'recreational' habits, it would scare you sh*tless. Yes, there are people who experiment and do okay but ....I don't even know how to put it into words. I'll just say that there are others who would have loved the chance to live to regret it. It breaks my heart totalk about it. Not just because I care what happens to you but it makes me remember things that are not among my best memories.

If you aren't going to stay away from them, I hope you will just remember one thing above all else. Please don't operate a vehicle or allow anyone else to operate one either. The faces that haunt me the most when I speak about this are the ones that were just riding by or driving along. They never chose to do drugs. As a matter of fact, they had no choice at all.

You are still so young. I know you have almost zero chance of being affected by what I say. I don't mean this post in a derogatory way at all. It's just that most people haven't seen what I have seen.

I have to agree with the above posts. Not trying to preach or anything.....but if you "like" drugs...then you've got some issues you need to look at and losing weight isn't one of them. Good luck.

As someone who has more than one daily pot-smoker in my family, I have to tell you what a motivation-zapper it really is. My brother was f***ing brilliant — could've done ANYTHING he wanted to, but instead has wasted his life "just getting high." And the depression (pot is a downer too) feeds the habit, and viscious cycle is born.

If you're couragous enough to change your life with Atkins, I'd encourage you to spend some time examining what other parts of your life (mental, physical, spiritual) could use some tweaking. Obviously, you're not just talking about smoking an occasional joint, but using a lot. You have to ask yourself why? Most heavy pot-smokers that I know are afraid to FEEL their feelings, and stuff them down by getting high. Ask yourself if there are any emotions you are uncomfortable with.
Good luck, not trying to preach, but I've been where you're at.
