Re: Anyone have hypogonadotropic amenorrhea? | | I was diagnosed a few years ago (mind you after 20 years of not having a period....duh!). I was producing no estrogen at all, and low amounts of FSH, LH, and testosterone.
Intersting thing was I was also severely vitamin D deficient, but thyroid panels wre in the "normal range" so endo was not anxious to treat despite a core body temp of 96.5-97.
Long and short is I corrected my Vit D with percription strength Vit D for 2 months and now daily supps (10,000 dly) and started on cytomel for my thyroid after much persuasion with the endo and a course of glucophage.
I started having periods on my own for the first time since I was 18 ( I am 42 now)
My hormone levels have come back into range etc. and I feel much better.
Don;t know if this will be helpful to you, but please do your research as you know your body best....
Good luck!
