| well that will depend on the insurance you have and the knowlegde of each. they will run lots of blood tests to see if you do indeed have it and then tell you about low carb eating and some meds if you are insulin resistant PCOS. you might get refeereed to an endocrinologist too. Call your gyno and see if they want you first or not based on your symptoms and your insurance.

| I honestly would reccomend seeing your gynecologist. Mine seemed SO much more knowledgeable about the subject. I had gone to my family doctor for years with my "female problems" and they never picked up on all the symptoms. Finally, at an appt for my yearly pap, my gynecologist noticed that the skin in my arm pits was darker than the rest of my skin and started asking all the right questions. Good luck! Hannah
