| I can understand you wanting the comfort of a friend...but the doctor should have been the first call you made. You need to get checked out, whether you call in and lay down or not. Everyone is different, and I'm not trying to alarm you or anything...but it's better to get the instructions from a professional...especially when it's concerning your baby. Just so long as you make sure it wasnt the start of something more serious, and the best way to do that is to let the doc check it out. Please tell me you did, or plan on doing so????? I'll be praying for you and baby

| Yes it could be something more serious you need your doctor to let you know its not. I had a lot of "pink" with my last prenancy and it was something they watched and I was fine, you need that assurance.

| Well, after 5 days of spotting, today, it seemed to be slightly worse while I was at work. I couldn't take it anymore, I was beside myself with worry and just about in tears. I left work early and went to the ER. They took lots of blood and I had a U/S which puts my due date behind a few days, but there was my baby bean sitting serenly (upside down!) and I was flooded with relief! They told me that it was what they term a "threatened miscarriage" and that I was to stay home for the next 2 days and rest. He did say that I still had a 50% chance of m/carrying or going to term and if anything changed then to come back but I need to see an OB/GYN in the next 2 days and have my HcG levels checked again to make sure they were still going up but he said for now, the baby is fine and the levels are good! Yahoooooo!!! |

| So glad to hear that you went and got checked out! Even better to know what you and baby are alright! I would have been way too worried to wait 5 days...thank goodness you guys are ok. I'll keep ya in my prayers..make sure you rest up, and I will be sure to check on ya for a chat when you're around.

| I started bleeding probably two months into my last pregnancy (2005) I was scared to death as you were and instantly went in to get checked out. They said everything looked normal. It would stop and then out of no where I would start bleeding again and would have to be checked. I did this probably 6-7 months out of my pregnancy. VERY NERVE RACKING! I was always afraid. Luckily my son (who is healthy) was such a kicker I knew he was still in there running in place. I also threw my guts up daily even while I was having him I had a trash can puking. SO FUN! So much for "morning" sickness lasting the first few months. HA! I always thought maybe I was bleeding because I was straining so hard throwing up. ![]() I've always said pregnancy was the best diet I've ever been on. With both of mine I was so sick I lost between 25 to 35 lbs. But it's not a diet I'd want to be on, I'd rather be fat! |

| I spotted this last pregnancy on and off for the entire thing, my doctors told me it was normal and nothing to worry about. Although I read otherwise in books, it was never RED like fresh blood.. I had my daughter a month early, but aside that healthy and no other complications. I know one of my neighbors she had her periods like clock work every month like she wasn't even pregnant her second pregnancy. Everyone and every pregnancy is different. I would always seek medical advice however in a case such as this. I also must add that when I had alot of stress, that seemed to make me spot.. so please PLEASE rest and try to be calm and relaxed! |
