| Its a personal thing=- but as for me I have been nursing my little guy for almost 24 months and this woe hasnt done a thing to jeopardize my supply or his health. However I did wait until he was on solids so I could be sure he wouldnt also go into Ketosis. *if * it were me, I would keep on the mait' level for a few more months, and then when he was 6 months or so start introducing solids to supplement his diet. Good Luck :<) ITU about wanting to Lose that weight- believe me!!!

| Thanks a bunch for the advice. I think I will wait until he is on solids to go into induction phase. It would just make me feel much more comfortable that he would stay healthy. Thank you!!! |

| I completely agree! I have heard the Ketosis isn't very healthy for a baby who's dependant on your nutrients. If it were me I would wait until after I was done nursing (which is actually what I did...I stopped nursing at 6 months for various reasons, I didn't want to). A huge kudos to you for breastfeeding it is soooooo good for your baby and it's such a wonderful bond to have with your baby. I cried for a week when I had to stop nursing... |

| Thanks you guys for the encouragement! You all are very sweet. I actually considered quitting nursing to go on induction and just couldn't do it. I'm a teacher and I may have to stop nursing when school starts back in the fall but he will be almost 8 months by then. |
