Question Allergy to cream & cheese

Hello!

I have an allergy to milk products, basically 'ruling out' cream and cheese which is annoying as I do actually like to eat them!

Can anyone post up a nice sweet induction treat which feels like an indulgent treat but cuts out the cream and cheese??

Mix 1/2 cup canned pumpkin with a little butter and allspice and ginger and a tsp of splenda. A dash of real vanilla extract is nice in this.

Thanks for the reply MTM1 - could you suggest any other ingredients that would work as the main 'fillers', as I dont think we have canned pumpkin over here in the UK

I have gone over and over the 'induction food' list, and there just isn't any other food on the lists that would lend itself to being sweetened with splenda and make a good treat. You've stumped me, maybe someone else might think of something!

A few responders to a similar question on Yahoo (where to get canned pumpkin in UK) mentioned the canned fruit aisle and pointed out that it may be called pumpkin puree (unsweetened). One option might be to order it over the internet from this Northampton-based site.

Alternatively, I found this method for making your own pumpkin puree if you can't find it at the local grocers. One site suggested that small pumpkins (intended for consumption) are in season in the UK from mid-July to early November. Hope this helps!

Can you get Chayote squash??

They can be used to make cinnamon "apples" and are really yummy.

Thanks Ge&h - Ill have a rumage about the isles next time im shopping - surely it cant be too hard to find it here seeing as the supermarkets need to cater for soo many people from different cultures in London.
Im hoping its not too Yummy - will have to adopt strict self-control, otherwise ill end up eating the entire tin at one sitting!!

Thanks again for the help everyone x

Don't worry, in my (humble) opinion it's not *that* good although it is a nice switch in taste and texture from always eating meat and eggs! And as "mom" said -- it blends well with Splenda for a legal sweet treat.

By the way, why do you have a link in your sig to a Phentermine website? Just curious.

Up till now, Ive just been making sweet pancakes with 1 whole egg, 3/4 egg whites, 1.5tbsp butter, flaxseed (1tbsp) and 2 splenda tabs. While I do enjoy the bread-like texture, it will definately be a welcome change to try pumpkin!

I just used that phentermine website to get my tracker, havent a clue what is all about though *goes to check it out*
