Default 2nd day menu

once i get more confidence i'll stop harassing you with my menus lol

breakfast:
2 hard boiled eggs
32 oz water

lunch:
tuna salad (tuna + mayo + what i think is 1 cup of celery)
20 oz water

dinner:
cheddar burgers with mayo
grilled brocolli w/ butter
20 oz water

snack:
probably go buy some pork rinds or possibly another egg or 2
12 oz water

i'm still ultra confused on how to measure the veggies, anyone have a sure fire way to do it? (like buy a scale then x# of oz on scale = a cup?)

I don't feel any different yet, but its only day 2, hope changes come soon!

Measure with a measuring cup.1 cup of broccoli will weigh a different amount than 1 cup of lettuce. So use your measuing cups.

That's all I ever did, was to cram them in a cup, and get a visual on what a cup's worth looks like. Every so often I'll re-measure to make sure my eyes aren't growing or shrinking my portion.

Your menu looks pretty good :yes ..are you getting in 3 cups of veggies though? Maybe wrap that tuna salad in a lettuce leaf.

And harass us all you want, bigmike! I needed a lot of reassurance in the beginning...better to ask and be sure than to feel badly over something later, right?

Moochie,
I did that tonight for my brocolli and Spinach. I put 2 cups of spinach in a cup and 1 cup of brocolli. After I sauteed them it only looked like a teaspoon a piece. I'm afraid I'm not going to have enough food for lunch tomorrow. A teaspoon of each. How can I fill this meal out. I have a steak and 3 cups of veggies that look like three bites. Please help. Maybe I need to choose another type of Veggie.

Spinach is waaaaaaaaaaaay better left as a salad vegetable because of how much it cooks down. I could probably cook a whole bag of it and eat it in one mouthful! (uh..but I won't...lol)
Btw, it's pretty commonly accepted that putting spinach on the 1 cup list was a typo, so view it as a 2-3 cup veggie!
So, yes, you got a bit cheated on your dinner....I have to ask you why you were eating all three cups of veggies at one meal? Spread those out through the day, my friend!!

I was actually cooking for the next day. But when I saw I only had a pinch of each Veggie, I decided to include them both for my lunch so I wouldn't get hungry.

Mike,
I didn't have any flu symptons but I lost weight the first 6 days. The day is just day 8 for me. Don't be discouraged. I will come off! We just have to make sure we are doing everything by the book.

i'm pretty sure i'm doing everything right(or so i hope so lol). I think its just since i was on another diet before this, i feel so guilty because I am actually eating and not being hungry alot, i dont know what else can explain it, i'm just not used to "feeding my hunger", i'm used to locking it up and ignoring it. we'll see what happens when I weigh in on monday
