first off welcome to Atkins and to ADBB

right off the bat you are not spreading your veggies to every meal. think of yourself as a car that runs on the good Atkins mix 65% fats 30% proteins and 5% carbs. just as a car that runs on super doesn't do well with 2 tanks of regular and one tank ful of premium so too will you have issues with no carbs for 2 meals and them carbs for the 3rd.

while during induction it may seem to be not that big a deal it will be when you start adding more carbs back in OWL so have sopme carbs some protein and some fats at each meal.

Right now your ketosis appettie suppression hasn't kicked in but when it does watch your portion control too as 2 cans of tuna is a lot ofd protein for one meal and excess proteins will convert to sugar and be used just like carbs limititnbg your fat burning.

you can use one of the free online sites like www.fitday.com to log your foods count your carbs and be sure you are not one of those folk eating your induction too high protein or too low fat as Dr Atkins warned us in DANDR.

happy low carbing.

You mentioned BBQ, what is that. Some BBQ sauces are made with lots of sugar.
How are you feeling.
Don't you love this plan. All the wonderful foods we can eat and lose weight also. Welcome dustin. Glad you found us.

eat to satisfy your hunger and stopo only you can say if you are eatting too much food as only you know if you are stopping when your hunger is satisfied and not when the plate is empty or your belly is full.

thanks for the reply. i guess i am a tad confused by this statement: "Right now your ketosis appettie suppression hasn't kicked in but when it does watch your portion control too as 2 cans of tuna is a lot ofd protein for one meal and excess proteins will convert to sugar and be used just like carbs limititnbg your fat burning."

i assumed that meant i was eating too much.

so i shoudlnt change anything except spreading out the veggies for my meals? thanks a bunch!

Welcome to the ADBB. Sounds like you are tearing right into induction, good for you.

Your menu is looking good, can't judge the condiments, but I like how you are including fish in your day. I think two cans of tuna is alot, however if that is what it takes to fill you up, then go for it Stay full of the right foods and you will find it easy to stick to Atkins.

Be sure and allow yourself a few induction friendly snacks in the day if needed.

hi dmcc... one thing I've found since I can't handle the thought of veggies for breakfast is to have stewed rhubarb with a bit of splenda and some heavy cream. It covers off my need for fruit and apparently is on the list of vegetables. Who'd a thunk it? Keep on being strong!

you are new to Atkins when you have been doing it a few days and your ketosis gets going you will discover their is a wonderful side effect of appetite suppression many folk get so distracted with work it is afternoon before they realize they missed lunch. when that happens you will need to only feed your hunger which is what Atkins weight control is all about learning to only eat in response to hunger and no other food cues. Once you master that you will be a big loser goalie. until then practice every day every time you want to eat are you hungry or thristy drink water and if in 20 min the hunger is gone you were actualy thirsty will control spillover. if you are still hungry eat but as you do notice how you feel and stop as soon as you are not hungry even if you got room in your belly food on the plater and carbs in your budget. you can eat again as soon as you get hungry. some folk use Dr Atkins eating 1/2 the plate method as they begin so they can learn hunger and satisfying it.

2 cans should be too much for appetite suppression eating but beginning eating not at all.
