| Dr. A says you shouldn't go more than 2 hours after you wake without eating. Maybe make some ham and cream cheese rollups on the weekend, for a quick snack in the am? You need to be eating 3 cups of vegetables a day...minimum. So, I can't really tell if you are eating that much when you say small salad (small to me might not be the same as small to you) And, you need to spread out your vegetables over the day. If you are saying it's boring...then that's not okay! You could be having meals that are EXCITING! I make it a point to make my meals be delicious, decadent and exciting. Boredom can be your worst enemy on any plan! And you never have to be bored on Atkins. Visit the recipe forums here for some good ideas and check this out for some induction friendly menus/recipes http://users3.ev1.net/~fontlady/indu...ion_menus.html

| Yep, and you need to make sure that you get all 3 cups in. The rules are 3 cups of vegetables on the "salad list" which is NOT limited to iceberg lettuce. OR 2 cups of "salad" vegetables and 1 cup of vegetables from the other list. Veggies are VERY important because of the vitamins and minerals in them, PLUS thats where you'll get your dietary fiber...very important in the bathroom department! The majority of your 20 carbs per day are to come from your vegetables. Here's a link to the foods you can eat on induction http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=6781 (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)

| Just a note - Sumner Rae, we are following the 2002 edition of Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution on this board, so you really do need to read it if you can get a copy. Failing that you must visit the FAQ forum and read all the threads relevant to the induction stage to make sure you are following the 'right' rules, as well as read the threads at the top of the 14-day induction forum.
