Default Please take a look at my menus

I think I have a good understanding. I have been following the book and helpful hints here on the board. The scales havent showed a real weight lose yet, but my clothes feel better and people are starting to ask if ive lost weight. But I figured I would take advantage of this great resourse. Thanks to all.

I take a multi-vitiamin and fish oil every day. As note, I don't like the taste of eggs.

Lunch
  • 2 all beef hotdogs
  • 1 oz sugar free jello
  • 2 tbs of heavy whip cream
Dinner
  • 1/2 cup of lettuce
  • small pinch of alfalfa sprouts
  • about 10 slices of fresh mushrooms

You shouldnt be having the tortillas, not until the appropriate rung in OWL. same with the yoghurt

Watch your Jello - is it sweetened with aspartame?

Check all your sauces and dressings for added sugars too.

Dont know what benefibre is so cant comment on that!

Thank you Emma. I thought since the wrap was wheat and low carb it would be ok. I hope I am not the only one that gets confused by all this. Everytime I think I understand, I find out I am wrong. I figured the yogurt was wrong due to the dairy, but I just am so hungry in the mornings and havent yet found a good breakfast food for me. I really wish I liked eggs. But I will cut the yogurt and the wrap out.

it will be fine when you get on to OWL and up to the appropriate rung,

It is all hard to understand! think outside of the box for your brekkie - i personally am not a breakfast person so a slice of corned beef and a coupla cherry tomatoes suits me, but theres no reason why you cant have leftovers from dinner the previous night!

you did the right thing in checking it out, if you have any questions dont be scared to ask!

Hi,

I am on induction as well and do not eat eggs. So, for breakfast I have 2 slices of bacon, 1 oz. cheese, 1 oz. tomato, 1 T. mayo, and 1 c. lettuce. I chop it up and pretend it is a BLT without the bread.

Thank you for the suggestions. I tried an egg today and was able to eat it. I didn't enjoy it, but it wasnt so bad. My main thing during the week is time. I do have turkey bacon cause i can microwave it. But its a bit salty and I cant really take it daily. I am sure with the receipes and suggestions here I will be able to find something. I certainly will not be going back to the yogurt and wrap.

Turkey bacon is fine as long as you add fat with your meal to keep those percentages in "balance." You can also cook regular bacon in the microwave on paper towels or paper plates. I cook mine on medium power for 2-4 minutes.

Like others have said, ANYTHING that's legal is ok for breakfast. You don't have to eat eggs! Even if you have a slice of cheese and a cup of veggies, that's better than nothing. Eating leftovers is great too.

As far as the yogurt and tortillas are concerned, like Emma said, those are NOT legal for induction. They ARE legal during OWL at the appropriate rung. Eat foods that are on the acceptable foods list and nothing else!

I'm not a big fan of eggs either, but I've found if I sort of scramble them up with a fork as I fry them and then toss in a slice of cheese right before they are all the way set, and kind of cut the cheese in so that it's melted all throughout the eggs - it makes them rather good! It's also VERY quick (if you are only making one or two eggs).

I did chuckle at your name fatty mcfatison, but you will have to change it soon. How about Skinny McThinson?

The name comes from my 6 year old. Her name is madison and last year in kindergarten she would make up songs and since her ability is limited it was mostly "madison fadison badison etc". Seemed cute enough to use for my own, but I like the skinny Mcthinson idea alot. Cant wait till I can use it.
