Default A perfect day?

I think today's food may well be a "Perfect Atkins Day". Have I finally got there?

2 pints water
3oz king prawns, lettuce, red and yellow capsicum, olive oil and tiny blob mayo.

2 pints water
6 oz cold roast pork, bit of mayo spread on the slices like butter.

2 pints water.
vitamins - one multi, extra C, spirulina, chromium, ALA.

(later)
2 pints water
3 oz king prawns with salad as above plus a couple of olives.

Helena

Looks good at first glance. What was in the salad that you had with your second batch of King Prawns? And do you have any idea what quantity of Lettuce, Red and yellow capsicum and salad you had?

I wonuldnt think your calorie intake would be anywhere near close to where you should be - did you input these in to fitday? if so what calories did you come out with?

Your choices are excellent - the only thing i would look at would be the calorie intake and the pecentages as i wouldnt think you had enough fat in there.

And thank you very much for giving me the "perfect day song" as an earworm for the whole of this afternoon ;-)

Hi Emma and many congrats on the massive weight loss. If you ever feel like telling how it feels I am a willing ear.

I thought the olive oil and mayo on the prawn salad and the mayo smeared onto the pork sufficient fat. Is it not?

I'm afraid I am far too busy and impatient to use Fitday. I don't want to get obsessive.

Rich - who's that sexy half naked bloke on your sig?

Default Re: A perfect day?

maybe... it depends on the amounts... i agree with you on the fitday thing, im not an everyday user but about once a week i'll check on myself and make sure i'm doing okay!

yeah Rich i'm in agreement, i wondered why'd i'd been humming "its such a perfect day" all afternoon when it really is NOT a perfect day in my life lolol...

And Helena i cant tell you how it feels, i'm sure Rich can! i dont feel like i've lost much at all! hopefully by goal i'll realise that the work has paid of!

Same as in the first meal: I make a double portion, save one for later.
I eat my salad from a small bowl "on the side" so it's about a largish tea mug full.

Default Re: A perfect day?

Yesterday was difficult, again: I was completely anorexic from the moment I awoke at 6am. I could not force myself to eat anything at all, it made me feel sick. I did an hour's water aerobics then met a friend and we chatted in a cafe for two hours. I had lots of water.

Then I went for my aromatherapy massage, and by the time I got home it was 2pm and I still had not eaten. I prepared lunch of raw red cabbage and red capsicums, with fried salmon on skewers, and had to force myself to eat it.

Now I understand what anorexics go through. Each mouthful was a struggle.

By 9pm I still wasn't hungry for a second meal, but I managed to force down a home-made hamburger which was made with finely chopped capsicum and onion inside, with two oz cheddar melted on top. I still wasn't hungry; I had to eat it in tiny little pieces washed down with water.

Next morning I've been up two hours and I am still not hungry. I am cooking some chicken and green beans in the hope that the smell will awaken my appetite a bit.

This is peculiar and in all my over-eating life I never dreamed it would happen to me.
