Default Day 4...please examine

Here's two days of menus for me. Before you ask, I don't particularly like vegetables...I'l do a salad every now and then but the taste must be masked by something that used to have parents...Oh yeah, Wingstop Lemon Pepper wings will be a recurring theme because they're tasty and are accompanied by a butter sauce that is magnifique...plus, I'm a picky eater. Any feedback would be appreciated

6 ounces of Brisket
1 small baked chicken thigh
6 ounces of smoked sausage
1.5 slices of turkey
3/4 slice of Colby Jack Cheese
1 cup of lettuce
1 medium pork chop
30 oz of flavored, sugar-free water

According to Fitday: 1721 calories, 68% fat, 31% protein, 1% carbs

2 Jumbo boiled eggs
2 slices of turkey bacon
Atkin's Vanilla Shake
Wingstop wings
1 stick of string cheese
3 tablespoons of butter

According to Fitday: 1564 calories, 69% fat, 30% protein, 1% carbs

All days I am drinking about 300 oz of water

EVERYTHING SOUNDS GOOD EXCEPT FOR THE SHAKE. TRY TO STAY AWAY FROM THE ATKINS MILKSHAKES WHILE IN INDUCTION. 300 OUNCES? WOWWWW!!!!

Yah, let's be honest, here. You aren't doing Atkins. You are just eating a lot of fat and protein.

The deal is that you HAVE to eat 2 cups of leafy green veggies plus another cup of a vegetable EVERY DAY. Not periodically. There are no exceptions and no room for negotiations.

If you have to blend them up and put them in your meatloaf to disguise the taste, that's what you do. If you have to pulverize them and mix them with cream and sweetener into some sort of sick-looking milkshake, that's what you do. But mostly, you have to resign yourself to eating 2 salads a day, plus broccolli or zuchini or something like that. DEAL WITH IT.

I know I'm sounding tough, but honestly, this is not a game. You do not get to do it "your way". You have to follow the program, or you will not lose weight properly, you will not become healthy, and you will not have any energy at all to do the exercise that you should be doing.

The amount of meat you are eating is probably not very healthy, especially if you don't eat any veggies with it. How about more eggs and cheese?

In addition, you should watch how much smoked meats you eat, because they can stall weight loss sometimes. And cut out the shakes. You do not need any Atkins products - they have a tendency to make people crave other things, and they have a distinct tendency to stall weight loss.

Um...I understand your passion, but calm down. I was asking because I did atkins back in 2005 and lost like 80 pounds and have gained back 30. It seems like it is slower in coming this time around and I wanted to make sure I was okay.

Those sausages sound delish!!

Evermind is right to talk about veggies - but remember the 'salad veggies' do not have to be leafy ones - the list has other good stuff like mushrooms, radishes, bell (sweet) and hot peppers, daikon, jicama, celery etc which dont look like 'leaves and weeds' (my DH's description of a mixed green salad!!)

And you can eat them cooked if you prefer which makes them a lot smaller too! I eat probably 6-10 servings of veggies most days, and a cup of peppers, sliced and roasted or sautééd in butter dont take up much room on the plate!!

Thanks. I've always been a water drinker. I think I'll try the peppers and jicama. I can handle those two. I just cannot stand vegetables because I wasn't made to eat them when I was growing up.
