Default Going on day 7 of induction

So this is my first time ever trying Atkins but my family members have had alot of success with it but, I was just wondering if you could please look at my menu of most of my days and tell me if I am eating okay...

Breakfast
2 egg omelet with one piece of low fat string cheese(less than one carb per piece), and 5 pepperonies cooked with a very minimal amount of butter just to grease the pan.

Lunch
2 cans of Tuna with about 2 tablespoons of mayo and 1 cup romaine hearts only with full fat caesar dressing (as suggested with book)

Dinner
2 cups of romaine hearts with caesar dressing a little bit of parmesean cheese and chicken

And I completely cut out soda... diet or otherwise and i drink decaffeinated green tea with no splenda or anything about every other day

I drink about 7 fills of an 18 oz water bottle a day.... sometimes more but never less

For working out I run almost every other day, go to curves 4 times a week and do crunches and stuff like that as well

So how am i doing

THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR THE HELP

To me it looks good.
Perhaps work in different types of veggies. There are very many on the list to choose from. You don't have to be afraid of butter. Did you check the ingredients on the pepperoni?

Good job on the exercise. It will help.

Way to go on cutting out caffeine!!!! =D
(I was supposed to give up my morning coffee... but it still has a grip on me)
Looks like you are kind of avoiding fats, or maybe an undertone of guilt?
You can eat fat. You should eat fat. Fat is your friend. You don't have to eat light string cheese. In fact, you probably shouldn't. You need a very high ratio of fat in this WOE. It will keep your appetite suppressed and you won't have any cravings. =D

I am on day 6! (of my 50th try.... lol)
Good luck!

I am certainly no expert but it looks good to me
like --liv--suggested, do check your ingredients
some canned foods and processed meats have loads of sodium
and for some people sodium may cause water retention

Talking Re: Going on day 7 of induction

I think you are doing great, and good for you giving up the soda, I did that too and I think it will help a lot.
You seem to have a good fix on what to eat, so I think you are doing pretty well. As mentioned before , you do not have to be afraid of fat, either mayo or the butter. I cook my bacon and then fry the eggs in the fat, lol !! When low carb salad dressing is not available, I use mayo with some salt and pepper. Remember that Atkins kind of turns all concepts of a diet upside down, fat is not your enemy on this plan !!!
Your excercise looks great too, good for you, I think you will be happy with your results, you sure know how to do the diet !! Keep up the good work !!!
Stephie

I think its just because before Atkins I had always tried a low fat diet ... but it was sooo much harder than Atkins.... at least this way I can have steak without feeling like a heffer
